Dr. Wasserman, who grew up in New Jersey, is an accomplished LASIK surgeon, pediatric ophthalmologist and educator. As a certified CONTOURA® Vision Laser surgeon, he performs LASIK refractive surgery for the correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. Dr Wasserman is a board certified ophthalmologist and the Medical Director of New Jersey Eye Laser Centers at Princeton.

Along with his expertise in LASIK surgery, Dr. Wasserman has an extensive background in pediatric eye surgery as well as the surgical correction of adult eye muscle disorders. In private practice since 1997, he is sought after for his expertise in the surgical correction of misaligned, wandering and crossed eyes in adults and children. Dr. Wasserman also performs eyelid plastic surgery and is expertly trained in the administration of BOTOX for the treatment of eyelid muscle spasms, Blepharospasm and facial wrinkles.As a fellowship trained pediatric ophthalmologist, Dr. Wasserman is a clinical instructor of pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. Locally, he is an attending surgeon at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick and the Princeton Medical Center's Outpatient Surgery Center.

A member of numerous professional societies, including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Dr. Wasserman is widely published in current ophthalmic literature and has lectured both nationally and internationally.

As a respected speaker, Dr. Wasserman regularly conducts lectures at Wills Eye Hospital and Jefferson Medical School concerning topics such as Shaken Baby Syndrome, Retinopathy of Prematurity, Ophthalmology for the Primary Care Physician and Health Professional, and Eye Injuries and Prevention.

Dr. Wasserman has traveled to Port Au Prince, Haiti to participate with the World Eye Mission and La Romana, Dominican Republic with the Healing the Children organization to perform eye surgery and treat local patients.

Dr. Wasserman has published multiple scientific articles. He has over 20 publications and book chapters since 1990, which include the Journal of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Journal of AAPOS, and he reported on a case at the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics Annual Clinical Meeting in 2013.

Dr. Wasserman contributed to two books published in 2012 which include the chapter "Retinal Anomalies," in Wills Eye Institute color Atlas & Synopsis of Clinical Ophthalmology: Pediatric Ophthalmology, and several chapters in Wills Eye Institute 5 Minute Ophthalmology Consult.

Dr. Wasserman serves as a scientific reviewer for American Journal of Ophthalmology, JAMA Ophthalmology (formerly Archives of Ophthalmology), Journal of American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. He has also served as a member of the education committee of AAPOS as well as the corporate relations committee and the nominating committee.

Dr. Wasserman has been honored as a Top Doc in numerous magazines since 2006.

In his leisure time Dr. Wasserman enjoys spending time with his children, and singing and playing his guitar.
